Owner Elizabeth’s Evans has a love for gathering together around the table. When friends or new acquaintances take time out of busy lives to share a meal together, time seems to stand still: stories are told, food is passed and memories are shared as well as created.
Elizabeth and her husband, Greg, take any opportunity available to “throw a party” – whether it’s inviting a bunch of friends over for a “clean out the frig” dinner or opening their home for over 20 years for parties with a purpose. From Christmas “Angel Tree” parties which saw 300-400 people cramming in to wrap presents, share in wonderful food and yes make memories, to summer parties (supporting different charities), complete with moon bounce, dunk tank, and more food and memories than you can imagine.
Food and memories have been intertwined throughout Elizabeth’s life and she loves to incorporate favorite dishes whenever possible. Hopefully you will have the opportunity to share in these memories when you try Elizabeth’s Grandma’s banana pudding, her mom’s potato salad, Greg’s childhood favorite chicken casserole or some recipes Elizabeth has learned from new friends like Mrs. Meyhoffer’s meat loaf or Mr. Wine’s oyster chowder. Food keeps memories of family and friends vibrant.
Over the past ten years, as Elizabeth has been catering weddings, anniversaries and other milestone events, she has enjoyed being part of the memory making. From traditional dishes like flank steak and chicken…. to the more unusual wedding fare of lasagna and General Tso’s chicken, Elizabeth and her crew have loved blessing people as they gather together and make memories.
